A group of more than 50 committed investors, religious communities, organizations and individuals - who use their shareholder rights to inform themselves, challenge companies and vote at general meetings.

A platform for public and organizational awareness, dialogue and education - to better understand the concepts of social responsibility, sustainable finance and ESG criteria.

An informed organization that participates in the public debate by documenting human rights and environmental issues to alert public opinion (supply chains, energy, mining, etc...)
Our History
The RRSE is an NPO that has been working since 1999 for a better consideration of environmental and social issues, as well as for the improvement of governance practices within companies. RRSE wants to see the emergence of a more just society, where stakeholders are listened to and companies are willing to be more accountable.
Founded by committed and forward-thinking Quebec religious communities, the group is based on the founding members' desire for social change. The values of solidarity and humanism are at the heart of our mission. Among the dozens of battles waged since its inception, the RRSE has worked for better worker protection, improved responsible procurement practices, protection of the right to water and land, and prevention of child sexual exploitation, among others.
In 2015, RRSE co-founded with Bâtirente the organization Æquo - shareholder engagement services. The objective is to gain social impact and offer a vehicle adapted to institutional investors who wish to strengthen their responsible investment strategy and obtain better accountability from public companies.
